Despite abundant cloud coverage today, temperatures are running in excess of 20 degrees warmer across the state. A breezy south wind is carrying warm air into the region making it feel great, especially after the chilly weekend that just passed. Things are shaping up for us to skip spring and move right into summer for the next few days.

Temperatures are on the upswing now that the chilly weekend is finished. Breezy southerly winds will continue to pull in the warm air through the week. Sunshine will also help heat us up and by Wednesday, temperatures will be cresting in the middle 80s. There is a chance for showers and storms through the next few days, but the chance is low. The other side of the Ohio River will have a more active stretch this week, and only a handful of showers and storms will try to make a run for us. You can count on mild mornings, warm afternoons, and a nice stretch of days this week. That is until we reach the end of the week. Another low looks to make a dive into the southeast which will bring up the chances for showers and storms. Hopefully, we can get most of it out of here before Derby.
