Straight into Summer

It’s as if the season didn’t miss a beat moving from spring into summer this year. The only problem is, it arrived 5 weeks early. Even meteorological summer doesn’t begin for another two weeks! If only grumpy cat were alive to see this.  With the summer heat comes the summer precipitation pattern. Skies start clear or mostly clear for the morning. Cumulus build through the afternoon with the heating.

Showers or thundershowers are not out of the question once the brewing begins. These showers will be isolated to scattered. Some will produce heavy torrents of rain; others may produce strong wind gusts. The majority of the pop-ups will be east of I-75 this afternoon. A cold front overnight will bring temperatures down closer to normal for the Sunday-Monday time frame. Don’t get too comfortable, as we warm back up to near 90-degree heat (likely surpassing it) towards the late part of the week.
