Quite the Cool Down

Posted
and last updated

Thanks to clearing skies overnight and a northeasterly wind, temperatures have cooled 5-10 degrees area-wide. Along with the cooler feeling comes a more comfortable feeling as the dry air works in as well. Things remain nice all afternoon and evening as we top out in the mid-70s. The MaxTrack remains clear and will not light back up until tomorrow.

This particular ridge of high pressure will be quick-moving and will only keep us mostly sunny today. We will still be unseasonably cool for the entire week, however, the chance for rain and storms will be back Wednesday. Clouds increase through the morning as the high pressure breaks down. The evening will bring in scattered rain and thunderstorms and some storms have will have the ability to get strong. Torrential rainfall and strong wind gusts are possible through Wednesday evening. Rain showers will wrap up Thursday morning and even cooler air will work in keeping us from reaching 70 degrees Thursday afternoon.
