The beginning of the shortened work week will consist of small changes to the pleasant forecast we’ve had since Derby Day. As for now, we’re still running nice and pleasant this morning with temperatures in the 60s for most and only small spots of fog. Otherwise, it’s comfortable under mostly clear skies. Rain showers will stay away for another day.

Labor Day will consist of only small changes from what we’ve had during the weekend. The change will be a warmer afternoon. We still get the sunshine and keep the lower humidity. Temperatures will get to about 5 degrees above normal. Tomorrow, we go back to full-blown summer as temperatures rise into the upper 80s and low 90s and humidity will start to creep back in. What doesn’t really are the sky conditions. We will keep mostly clear each day through midweek before adding enough moisture to bring back partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will start to moderate as we head into the upcoming weekend and will get down to seasonal normal by Friday. Rain chances begin to slowly creep up for the weekend and into the early parts of next week.
