The return of spring

Nice day for the outdoors

and last updated

Things are shaping up for a wonderful, outdoor weather day across the Commonwealth. It may not seem like it at first, however, due to the cold temperatures this morning. Clear skies allowed morning lows to dip into 20s. If you’re heading out early today for any reason, have a coat with you. No rain (or snow) showing up on the MaxTrack.

After the cold morning start temperatures will boost through the day. With the sunshine and southerly wind, temperatures will quickly rise from the 20s into the 50s by lunchtime. We will continue to warm through the afternoon and should touch near 60 degrees. Today will be glorious for outdoor activities. Remember that it will be breezy at times, but that shouldn’t affect your plans. Soak it up, as we will be back in the rain pattern starting tomorrow. Clouds will increase along with the warmth today as moisture funnels in. Rain will begin late tonight for the western forecast area and continue to push east through the morning tomorrow. Rain is likely Monday, and we have the chance for a few thunderstorms along with rain on Tuesday. Spring temperatures hang with us through midweek.
