Finally! Sunshine has returned to the forecast. After thin clouds this morning and some fog, the deck broke and allowed a nice-looking rest of the day. Temperatures have warmed nicely since yesterday with the added sunshine. We’re running ~15 degrees warmer in the upper 40s or low 50s.

Things will look nice again tomorrow thanks to continued high pressure around the region. Skies will remain clear overnight which will put temperatures down near freezing. However, we warm up into the low 50s for a lot of the state Thursday before the clouds increase ahead of the next rain-making system. It’s become apparent that the passing system late-week has moisture to work with, so showers are looking a little more likely. Current trends have some rain moving in late Thursday for the southern counties while the rest of the forecast area will get their rain Friday morning. The front will clear the northern counties in the afternoon, pushing the rain south with it. Showers will wrap up for everyone as we close out the day. The front clears out clouds for the beginning of the weekend making Saturday a good day, only chilly.
