Temperatures have warmed nicely since our frosty start and now we sit in the 50s thanks to the abundant sunshine through the early part of the day. Clouds have increased and a new storm system draws near. Only a few light showers are being picked up on the MaxTrack.

As expected, the morning lows dropped into the low to middle 30s for many in central and eastern counties. Frost was a likely result. Now, we can focus on a big warm up that will feel good for everyone. That warm up will come Thursday as wind shifts out of the south. We will warm up our afternoon highs from the 50s to the 70s and then eventually into the 80s for the end of the week and weekend. It will be glorious and well deserved. Of course, it will not come without some hiccups. We’re looking at daily shower and t-shower chances. Most days will include the isolated pop-up storm chance and that will be for the end of the week and weekend. This is not “keep you indoors” rain showers. You’ll just have to dodge a few showers or thundershowers each afternoon. Very hit and miss.
