After a small bit of snow and a good deal of clouds, the day has been saved with sunshine abundant for everyone. The little bit of snow that fell this morning in Northern Kentucky has since melted with temperatures running between the middle 40s and 50s. If you live in the southern counties, this is turning out to be a nice winter day.
Wednesday will bring a little more in the cloud department with a passing system. There’s not a lot of moisture available to really squeeze out much in precipitation, but a few flurry showers are possible. A cold air mass will move in and with the clouds overhead, temperatures will struggle to get above freezing in the afternoon tomorrow. A system passing south of Kentucky Thursday will try to bring a few rain showers on Thursday morning to the southern counties. Otherwise, it will be partly cloudy and warm again as temperatures get into the upper 40s and low 50s again. This will be another treat. Cold air will arrive behind the Thursday system and drop us back into the 30s for afternoon highs. After that system, things calm down for a few days. High pressure will bring back the sunshine for late week and the weekend. Temperatures will slowly rebound to normal by Sunday. Next best chance for rain/snow arrives early next week.
