We’re starting Sunday off with a wide range of cloud coverage and temperatures running mild. Most locations are starting the day in the low to middle 60s, with some higher terrain in the upper 50s. Visibility seems to be mostly fine, and the MaxTrack is clear for now.

On the other side of the Ohio, rain and thunderstorms have been firing since last night as a warm front lifted. Where the front lies, the storms continue. It will not be long before our area gets rain and thunderstorms as the cold front inches closer today. Expect a mostly cloudy morning, with some sunshine breaking through into the afternoon. The heat of the day will allow a few t-showers to develop over the central part of the state, which will continue into the evening. Early Monday, a line of rain and thunderstorms will arrive and sweep east. The line will gain intensity as the day moves along and we’ll get a good dose of rain along with strong storms in the afternoon and evening Monday. The low will stall slightly and keep rain in play for a few days. Cloudy days with rain and a few storms will be the case through the middle of the week. Temperatures will also cool during this stretch and run below average again.
