We have some cloud coverage today, but it’s not enough to keep the sunshine out. Things look and feel good outside thanks to the cooler and drier air in place. This can be considered an early fall preview. Temperatures are taking their time rising into the upper 70s and low 80s and dew point temperatures are lower keeping things comfortable.
We will keep nice conditions through the end of the week and with added high pressure we get plenty of sunshine to go with it, especially Friday and Saturday. Today and tomorrow will have chances for a few isolated pop-up showers and thunderstorms. These will be primarily found each afternoon in the southeastern counties as those locations are closer to the stalled cold front. There will be enough moisture in place that a few heavy downpours are possible. Storms will fizzle out each evening. Chances will be lower Friday and Saturday as the front moves on and high pressure sticks around. We will gain our southwesterly wind back around this time bringing the heat back. With the heat, comes the humidity. By the end of the weekend it’ll feel like summer all over again.
