Temperatures have cooled, but thanks to the sunshine most of today, we’ve warmed nicely into the low to middle 40s. Expect a few more before we start to cool overnight. Clouds are back in place thanks to an incoming storm, but the MaxTrack remains clear and will for most of us as it passes.
We keep the winter theme going for a few days thanks to the cold front that just passed and another storm undercutting us to the south. Clouds took a backseat to amazing sunshine thanks to a sliver of high pressure today, but they are already moving back in. The clouds are a part of the next storm system that will bring rain and snow to the Tennessee River Valley and the deep south, while most of us here in Kentucky stay dry. Some of the moisture could leak north and bring a mixture of rain and snow to the Tennessee and Virginia state line counties. Don’t expect much, and accumulation will be minimal and reserved for the higher elevations of the southeastern mountains. No, for most, we keep just cloudy around until tomorrow morning and then things look better. The sun will start to come out tomorrow afternoon and then we keep it through the end of the week and most of the weekend.
