LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — If you rely on physical therapy, the distancing can be painful. Titan Physical Therapy is now able to help people via telehealth.

The gym at Titan Physical Therapy hasn't seen a patient physically present in weeks, but owner Avery Schroyer is still working with clients.

"The youngest we've seen of recent is probably a nine year old, and right now we've got a couple 95, 96 year olds." says Schroyer.

His practice, located in Wellington Place, already used telehealth. Schroyer tells LEX 18, "It's been just sort of an adjunct. It's been that fill-in piece for when individuals needed a way to get in to the office but didn't have time or they needed a quick check up."

Schroyer says the system he uses makes it simple to connect. "We can be plugged right in, real quick. I mean it doesn't take 15 seconds to send the message to you, click on it, and then boom we're talking face to face." says Schroyer.

There are even videos to help further. "We've got programs where we can actually show video of exercises and send that directly to patients," says Schroyer.

Schroyer misses the "physical" in physical therapy, but he hopes people will take advantage of what they do have to offer.
