Light snow returns to the Bluegrass tonight. Scattered snow showers will produce light accumulations, generally around half an inch. Untreated surfaces will become increasingly slick this evening as temperatures steadily fall into the 20s. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for almost the entire area through Saturday morning.
It remains cold for the final day of winter, then suddenly it will be spring! We'll spring into March with a big warm up. Highs will climb nearly 20 degrees between Saturday and Sunday. A very spring-like set up takes shape early next week. Temperatures will be much warmer and there will be increasing chance for rain and storms. The rain will become widespread by Monday. The best chances for storms will follow into Tuesday.
