WOLFE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Wolfe County Animal Shelter is pleading for donations after what employees describe as an extremely difficult month.
A post on the group's Facebook page says that the shelter has been overwhelmed in the month of February.
The post says in addition to being at capacity, they've taken in a dog with terminal cancer, a dog that was taken from a home where he was severely beaten, three puppies with Parvo, a small dog with an untreated broken leg, and a myriad of other illnesses and issues.
The animal shelter is in desperate need of money to pay off some of the medical bills.
