SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — The woman charged in a deadly stabbing in Georgetown is scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
Police say Cassandra Carson stabbed 36-year-old Matthew Turner to death last month outside a home on Iron Loop Path.
The two reportedly lived together on and off, but Turner had filed a protective order against Carson prior to the attack.
Carson is charged with manslaughter and violating an emergency protective order and domestic violence order.
She is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing Thursday afternoon.
