Woman arrested after dead dog found chained up at her home

DANVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) — Police in Danville, Kentucky have arrested a woman after discovering a dead dog chained up at her home.

Kimberly Naylor, 38, has been taken to the Boyle County Jail after police said they found the dog.

Police said the dog was being kept in an area with inadequate shelter, surrounded by molded food and feces.

Officers tried knocking on the door, but got no answer. After hearing more dogs in the home, police forced open the door to check on their welfare.

Three more dogs were removed from the home.

Naylor was charged with second degree crulety to animals. Police said that more charges are pending.
