LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Lexington police were investigating after a woman said she was robbed at gunpoint early Monday morning after accepting a ride to an automated teller machine.

Authorities said the woman told police she was trying to get money about 1:30 a.m. from an ATM on North Broadway but the machine wasn’t working.

The woman said three people whom she did not know offered to give her a ride to another ATM. However, the woman said that after she got money from a second ATM, one of the people pulled out a gun.

The woman told police that she threw money at the suspects and fled.

Police said no one was hurt in the incident and that they were searching for suspects.
