When you consider the size, scope and wide-ranging impact of this weekend's sprawling and potent storm system, it's good we're in the Commonwealth. We'll see a heavy rain and strong storm threat but overall we're dodging much of the flood, severe storm and winter weather threat that's inbound. Watch for heavy rain on and off Friday night into Saturday and a chance for a few strong to severe storms (damaging wind) Saturday afternoon/evening, mainly across southern counties. Highs will soar to very un-January levels, likely into and beyond record territory with mid to upper 60s Friday and low 70s Saturday!
