Heat spikes Tuesday as a warm front tracks northeast! This will be our best shot at challenging record highs as we soar into the mid 90s, a good 10° to 15° above average. We hit the low 90s Monday and with low 90s likely midweek through Friday our steamy September heat wave will linger. The heat index will stay elevated in the mid to upper 90s possibly pushing triple digits south. A late Friday cold front will end it with highs back in the 80s this weekend.
