The last time Lexington saw a run of five consecutive September days at or above 92° was way back in 2002. We're about to do it again as Friday's highs soar into the steamy mid 90s. Our heat wave finally takes a hit as a cold front blows through early in the weekend. Moisture is very limited, we'll see a few showers & storms Friday night into Saturday morning southeast. The bigger impact- this blazing heat backs off with Saturday's highs falling to the mid 80s. It should be a nice evening for the Cats to take on the Gators!
