A cold front slowly sags south Monday putting an end to our July heat wave but also ramping up the threat for heavy rain. Watch for rounds of showers and storms firing along that boundary that will slowly shift southeast. Training cells (storms firing and refiring over the same area) will be possible, these repeated rounds could quickly lead to hazardous flash flooding. A flash flood watch is in effect through10 pm Monday and until 2 am Tuesday for southeastern counties. The rest of the week looks absolutely spectacular with high pressure dominating, sunshine and highs rising from the upper 70s Tuesday to the low/mid 80s later in the week.
