LEXINGTON, Ky. — Around 8 a.m. Sunday morning, police responded to Man 'O War and Victoria Way in Lexington after an alleged drunk driver hit a car, overturning it into a utility pole.
According to the Lexington Police Department, the driver then fled the scene, but was later arrested and charged with a DUI (driving under the influence).
LEX 18 crews responded to the accident and reported seeing the roof cut off the car.
Police report that the Lexington Fire Department had to extricate the driver who suffered minor injuries from the incident.
