We're still in full bore summer as Fayette county kids enjoy their last few days of freedom. Highs will stay in the upper 80s to low 90s Monday and Tuesday with the heat index well into the 90s, pushing triple digits. Brief relief comes with a price- showers and storms will fire Tuesday into Tuesday night. Watch for a fading round Tuesday morning with a better shot at severe storms Tuesday PM into early Wednesday AM southeast. Damaging wind, hail and heavy rain will all be in play.
