The Lexington Legends took game one of their South Atlantic League semifinals at Augusta 2-1 Wednesday night.

The Legends scored first in the game during the 4th inning. Lexington's Jeison Guzman crushed a solo home run over the terrace in right field to put them up 1-0. And the way pitcher, Jon Heasley was going on the mound, it looked like it might be enough. Heasley pitched six plus innings of no hit baseball and no one was close to getting a clean shot.

Heasley made one mistake in the 7th inning as the GreenJackets, Tyler Fitzgerald, hit his own no-doubter home run high off the screen in left to tie the game at 1-1.

Lexington got help in the 8th inning as Guzman singled to right allowing Rubendy Jaquez to reach third. As Guzman reached 2nd, an Augusta infielder threw the ball past 2nd trying to get Guzman out. That allowed Jaquez to score and give the Legends a 2-1 lead.

Brandon Marklund worked the final two innings to get the save and secure the win for Lexington.

The Legends and GreenJackets move to Lexington where game two will be played at 7:05 on Friday night. If the Legends win that, they'll advance back to the South Atlantic League Championship, which they won last season.
