(LEX 18) — The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a recall of a brand of utility bar tools that could break.

The recall covers 145,000 DeWalt brand multifunction utility bars. Details and model number can be found here.

According to the U.S. agency, the bars could break while being used for prying, causing a potential injury hazard to the users.

The 40-inch bars were sold online and at hardware stores nationwide from December 2015 through March of 2019. They cost $30 to $40.

The agency says consumers should immediately stop using the bars and contact DeWalt for a gift card worth the purchase price.
