LEX 18 News At 4 p.m. To Return Soon

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – Friday has been a big day for changes at LEX 18. After 20 years, Lee Cruse is moving off LEX 18 News at Sunrise along with anchor Hayley Harmon.

In addition to the shifting of on-air talent, LEX 18 will bring back its 4 p.m. newscast. 

LEX 18 News at 4:00 will be anchored by Angie Beavin, Hayley Harmon, and Dia Davidson, returns on Monday, April 23rd. The show will also feature Lee Cruse’s live reports around the Bluegrass, as well as a unique approach to StormTracker Weather and live traffic coverage.

"We have an opportunity at 4:00 to deliver a distinctive view on afternoon news across the Bluegrass," says LEX18 News Director Bruce Carter. "With the talent of our news team, and resources like our amazing studio set, viewers can count on us for a unique, interactive look at the people and events making news at 4:00."

Harmon says she is most excited about the opportunity to sleep like a "normal person."

With Hayley Harmon’s move to afternoons, LEX18 News at Sunrise welcomes a new co-anchor. Claire Crouch, who co-hosted Sunrise Weekend, will join Chris Goodman and meteorologist Tom Ackerman on Central Kentucky’s most-watched local morning news show. LEX18 News reporter Conroy Delouche moves to the news desk on Sunrise Weekend.

Steve Butera will be moving to report on Mondays and Fridays.
