EKB News: Conn Reaches Deal With Prosecutors

LEXINGTON, Ky (EKB- News) EKB News is reporting that former social security attorney Eric C. Conn filed a motion saying that he has reached a deal with prosecutors.

They report that Conn’s motion said there is a deal is to enter a guilty plea in a new case that will soon be filed. This is in exchange that the conspiracy and escape cases against him be dropped. 

A hearing is scheduled for June 4, according to EKB News. The details of this agreement are not yet public.

In June 2017, Conn allegedly fled house arrest by removing an ankle monitoring device after pleading guilty to defrauding the government in a social security disability fraud scheme. 

In July 2017, he was sentenced to 12 years in prison absentia. That December, it was announced that he had been apprehended in Honduras at a Pizza Hut. 

He was extradited to Lexington.
