Death Of Lexington Man In May Investigated As Homicide

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Lexington police said Saturday afternoon that the death of man last month is now being investigated as a homicide.

Police spokesman Jervis Middleton said officers found 24-year-old Abraham Piedra dead May 13 inside his apartment in the 2000 block of Daniel Court.

Piedra’s death initially was classified as suspicious by the Fayette County coroner.

But Middleton said Saturday that the medical examiner later classified the death as a homicide.

Police do not have a suspect in the case, he said.
