FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– Sheriff’s officials have arrested a man in connection to a recent homicide.
37-year-old Billy Joe Turner was taken into custody Tuesday night around 10:43 p.m. and charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence.
Officials say he is connected to the death of 39-year-old Margaret Elizabeth Smith, who was found in her home Tuesday dead from a gunshot wound to the head.
Derek Garten, the man identified as a person-of-interest in the case, has not yet been taken into custody.
