LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — It is no secret that the Big Blue Nation is still flying high after the nail biting win over Virginia Tech on Tuesday. An exciting game and a sign of the bright future ahead for the Kentucky Football Program.
Kentucky Branded in Lexington was talking to their vendors just minutes after the clock hit zero.
"We're like, 'Okay! So here's the day the game is. We're going to have these ready by this day, or this day.' And then we get them done and get them out on the floor as quickly as possible," said store key holder Taylor Birchwell.
The first batch of t-shirts were put out on Wednesday morning. That is where Kentucky fan Phil Noble found himself.
Noble said he bleeds blue, but his family is divided.
"My daughter went to Virginia Tech and my son went to UK," said Noble. "It's hard, but money went to both schools. We're very happy for Kentucky. We were always rooting for Virginia Tech because they're a football school. Yeah, this is special."
Kentucky Branded said the store is getting another version of Bowl Champion shirts in gray, coffee mugs and hats. These will be in store by Monday.
