Kentucky continues to decline in daily number of COVID-19 cases

FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — During his Wednesday press conference, Gov. Andy Beshear announced that there are 127 new cases of COVID-19 in the state of Kentucky and that the state's total currently sits at 9,077.

Of the 9,077 Kentuckians to test positive for COVID-19, 3,124 have made a full recovery.

Beshear also announced six new coronavirus-related deaths in Kentucky, bringing the state's coronavirus-related death total to 400.

New Executive Order

Gov. Beshear announced Wednesday he has signed an executive order to restore the Executive Branch Ethics Commission. Previously, Beshear appointed all five members to the board. Under the executive order, Beshear will appoint three members and the other two members will come from a list of three nominees from a Republican Auditor and a list of three nominees from an Attorney General.
