FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — A staff member of Kentucky's General Assembly who tested positive for COVID-19 has been released from self-isolation.
According to an email from Legislative Research Commission Director Jay Hartz, the staff member is doing well and has been allowed to discontinue isolation after COVID-19 symptoms ended and guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention were met.
It's reported that this staff member has not been on the Capitol campus since March 16. It was on March 30 that the staff member tested positive for COVID-19.
Officials at the Capitol say they continue to take precautions from the spread of COVID-19 and monitor members' health closely.
