BOURBON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Bourbon County Sheriff's Office is celebrating a local WWII veteran on his 103rd birthday.
On Thursday, the sheriff's office posted photos on Facebook of the department honoring Albert Wess, a veteran who fought in the Battle of the Bulge, the last major offense campaign by Germany from 1944 to 1945.
"Today, we salute you and wish you the best - most deserved - birthday. Thank you for your service," the Facebook post states.
