1 woman dead following multi-vehicle collision at Harrodsburg intersection

HARRODSBURG, Ky. (LEX 18) — One person is dead following a Friday afternoon two-vehicle collision in Harrodsburg.

According to Kentucky State Police, a vehicle driven by 71-year-old Sharon Britton of Cornishville, Kentucky, was traveling north on North College Street just before 1 p.m. and failed to yield to a traffic control device at the intersection of Tapp Road.

KSP reports that Britton's vehicle entered the intersection and struck another vehicle traveling east. Britton was transported to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the other vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The collision remains under investigation by KSP.
