Teen charged in connection to October shooting on Ward Drive

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A 17-year-old has been charged in connection to an October shooting on Ward Drive that left a 22-year-old with injuries.

According to Lexington Police, the teen was has been charged with first degree assault and minor in possession of a handgun. Police say the juvenile was arrested on Monday, and is housed in a juvenile detention center.

The shooting, which took place on October 29 just before 6 p.m. in the 700 block, left the victim with non-life-threatening injuries.
