LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — The victim of a shooting that occurred on Tuesday morning on Newtown Pike has died.
James Adroiunt White, 40, died as a result of a gunshot wound.
The shooting occurred at the Motel 6 just off New Circle Road at around 9 a.m. on Tuesday. Police said White, who was not a guest at the motel, was shot in the leg and transported to the UK Trauma Center. The suspects got away by car, and police called for a helicopter to help locate them before calling that part of the search off.
The shooting is still under investigation.
