RICHOMOND, Ky. — Eastern Kentucky's Ty Taylor hit two free throws with 4.8 seconds remaining in the game and EKU's defense made one more stop to knock off Eastern Illinois, 77-74.
The win snapped the Colonels five game losing streak to the Panthers. The past two were one point losses each. EKU is now 5-11 overall, 2-1 in the Ohio Valley Conference while EIU drops to 7-8, 0-3.
Jomaru Brown led the way with 17 while Taylor chipped in with 13.
Eastern Kentucky will close out a four-game home stand on Saturday against Southern Illinois University Edwardsville at 4 p.m.
