MOREHEAD, Ky. — The Morehead State women received a couple of incredible individual performances that paced the way to a 75-69 win over SIU Edwardsville on Thursday night.
Jazzmyn Elston came off the bench and scored a career-high 21 points while playing 22 minutes. The junior hit 6-of-12 shots from the field including four behind the three point line. Meantime, freshman, Ariel Kirkwood blocked a career-best nine shots while also coming up with a career-high five steals. The Milwaukee native now has 39 blocks on the season which moves her past Brooke Todd's freshman record of 33 set back in the 2014-'15 season.
Morehead State improves its season mark to 6-9 overall and is now 2-1 in league play.
