LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Kentucky softball team released its schedule for the 2020 season on Monday.
The Wildcats will open up play in the National Fastpitch Coaches’ Association Lead-Off Classic in Clearwater, Florida on February 7-9. That's where they'll face Liberty University, Texas State, North Carolina State, the USA Select team and Minnesota.
Kentucky will play 16 games inside the friendly confines of John Cropp Stadium with the home opener coming on March 7th against Texas A&M. That also makes it the SEC opener for the Cats.
The schedule also features 35 games against teams who played in the NCAA Tournament last season and there are six match-ups against teams that reached the 2019 Women’s College World Series.
UK Head Coach, Rachel Lawson, is starting her 13th season in Lexington.
