LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — The E. W. Scripps Company has reached an agreement with DISH Network, according to a tweet from the official Scripps twitter account.
Scripps has reached an agreement with Dish, and all Scripps stations are back on the air for Dish subscribers today. We apologize for the disruption in service and thank you for your loyalty and patience through this period.— The E.W. Scripps Co. (@EWScrippsCo) September 6, 2020
In July, DISH Network blacked out LEX 18 after the satellite provider and The E.W. Scripps Company were unable to reach an agreement.
Since launching its first television stations in 1947 in Cleveland, Scripps had never experienced a station blackout with any cable or satellite provider. Scripps has owned WLEX since May of 2019.
