LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – Kevin Knox has not decided what he’s going to do about the draft. He talked with Cal and assistant coach Kenny Payne Monday night.
"He wasn’t pushing either way," says Knox’s father.
"The decision will be made by the family. My wife, myself, and little Kevin will decide," Knox’s father told LEX18. "We need to get all the facts."
Cal’s pitch? Knox’s father said that Cal told Kevin that if he returned, the team could win the national championship. He also noted that if Knox moves on, he would be would be financially set.
Knox’s father believes that Cal will be happy either way, but obviously, he would "love" to have his son for another season.
That decision on the future of UK’s leading scorer this season is expected to be made by Friday.
