LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – The Kentucky football player arrested on drug charges last week has been dismissed from the team.

Marcus Walker was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, trafficking in marijuana and trafficking a controlled substance (cocaine). He pleaded not guilty in court last Thursday.

Coach Mark Stoops confirmed the decision through a school spokesperson. No official comment was released at this time.

The arrest came after a search warrant was executed at his residence on Red Mile Road. Walker signed with UK in 2015 and was a safety.
