Whitney, a 2019 recruit from Roselle Catholic High School in New Jersey, is the second 2019 commit for head coach John Calipari.
The 6-foot-6 inch forward is the 19th ranked recruit in the nation according to 247 sports, and is the 5th ranked small forward.
Whitney’s commitment comes a couple of days after the Wildcats lost out on another five-star recruit, DJ Jefferies, who decommited from UK on Monday to re-open his options.
Whitney joins five-star point guard Tyrese Maxey as the only other 2019 commit for Kentucky.
