Lexington, Ky. (LEX 18) — Eastern Kentucky drops its first contest of 2018 at the hands of Marshall 32-16.
Alphonso Howard led the rushing attack for the Colonels with 68 yards on 13 carries. EKU outrushed Marshall 139-89, but the Thundering Herd dominated through the air, throwing for 278 yards compared to EKU’s 48 yards.
The Colonels are now 1-1 on the season. They’ll stay on the road next weekend when they travel to face Bowling Green.
