Mitchells to Pay Tuition for One UK Student at UVA Game

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Matthew and Jenna Mitchell have announced that they will pay the 2019 spring tuition for one UK student in attendance at Kentucky’s showdown with Virginia in Rupp Arena on Thursday, Nov. 15 at 8:30 p.m. ET. The announcement headlines this year’s promotional schedule for UK women’s basketball.

UK students will check into the Virginia game via the BBN Rewards app, which is sponsored by American Campus Communities. Students who check in at the Virginia game with a fully completed profile, including their student ID number, will be eligible to win. Students are also encouraged to enable notifications on the app to receive news about exclusive experiences, coupons and other important updates.

The app, which is available for download on Apple and Android devices, allows UK students to earn a variety of rewards for attending various UK Athletics events. Students will accumulate points by checking in when they arrive at UK Athletics events using the “Events” button on the app. As students accumulate points, awards will automatically unlock. The winner will be randomly selected and announced at the completion of the game. They must be present to win. Prior points earned through BBN Rewards will not factor into this drawing. In the event of an out-of-state or graduate/professional student winner, the spring semester in-state undergraduate tuition amount will be applied.

Student receive free admission to all Kentucky women’s basketball games using their official UK student ID. Students can enter Rupp Arena through the Triangle Park Entrance or High Street Entrance 1 on Nov. 15 and sit in general admission seating areas. At games in Memorial Coliseum, students can enter the student entrance at Euclid Avenue with a valid UK student ID.

UK faculty and staff can receive free admission for themselves and one guest to all regular season home games at Memorial Coliseum and Rupp Arena this season. Faculty and staff can enter Rupp Arena through the Triangle Park Entrance or High Street Entrance 1 and sit in general admission seating areas.

Several other promotions are in the works for the Virginia game, including $3 general admission tickets using the offer code KROGER on ticketmaster.com. Kroger is the sponsor for the game and members of the UK coaching staff will be out at Kroger on Euclid Avenue, Tates Creek Road, Richmond Road and Lowery at 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 12 with free general admission tickets to the game. Fans who attend the UK men’s basketball game vs. North Dakota on Wednesday, Nov. 14 can bring their ticket stub back to the women’s basketball game on Nov. 15 for free admission. The first 4,000 fans will receive a free pom Thursday, while the incredibly popular Senior Center Dance Team will perform at halftime.

A new in-game promotion this season is recognizing on court one female per game that serves our great community by being a terrific role model to all of us. Halftime shows throughout the season include Senior Center Dance Team, Danville Dazzling Dribblers, the UK dance and cheerleading teams and more. Other promotions through the season are listed below.

Special general admission ticket pricing is available to groups attending Kentucky women’s basketball games. Group rates are exclusively available by calling the UK Ticket Office at (800) 928-2287. Groups of 20+ are $4 in GA seating, while groups of 50+ are $3 in GA seating. A limited number of group ticket reserved seats are available for games at Rupp Arena.
