LEXINGTON, KY- — Art Collector held off Swiss Skydiver in the Toyota Bluegrass Stakes to earn himself a spot in the 2020 Kentucky Derby.
The Ken McPeek-trained Swiss Skydiver, who was in the running to become the first filly to win the Blue Grass was the 3-1 morning-line favorite.
The red-hot Art Collector has now won four straight races.
A spot in the Kentucky Oaks was on the line in the Ashland and it was Speech who separated herself from Venetian Harbor in the final furlong.
The Mike McCarthy trained horse came into the morning with the second best odds at 2-1, behind only Venetian Harbor.
