BEREA, Ky. (LEX 18) — Berea College has decided to cancel the upcoming baseball season due to a vague violation of school rules.
The president and provost released a statement on the decision saying in part, "All student-athletes are expected to abide by team, departmental and college policies that are tied to the high values arising from Berea's mission and traditions."
They also said, "It is our earnest hope that Berea will field a baseball team next year."
LEX 18 has reached out to multiple officials, but so far, no one has elaborated on which policies were broken. The school's athletic website reads "cancelled" on the season's remaining games.
