EKU Football Hits the Road to Face UT Martin

RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University’s football team will take to the road to face the University of Tennessee at Martin on Saturday.

Kickoff at Hardy M. Graham Stadium is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET.

The game will air live on ESPN+.  The live radio broadcast of the game is available in the Richmond area on WCYO 100.7 FM, and can be heard worldwide on EKUSports.com.

INSIDE THE SERIES

–  EKU leads the all-time series 24-4.

–  Last year Eastern won 31-21 in Richmond.

–  The Colonels are 2-2 over the last four games played in Martin.

THE COLONELS

–  The Colonels were defeated by No. 8 Jacksonville State this past weekend.

–  Last year Daryl McCleskey ran for 148 yards on 22 carries and scored one touchdown against the Skyhawks.

–  The rushing offense is ranked third in the conference with 242.2 yards per game.

–  Daryl McCleskey Jr. ranks second in the OVC in rushing yards per game with 81.8.

–  EKUs defense ranks third in the country in interceptions with nine on the year.

–  Aaron Patrick ranks first in the conference with 4.5 sacks this season.

 

 

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT

–  UT Martin lost at Murray State 45-38, on Sept. 29.

–  The Skyhawks rank fourth in the conference in passing yards with 274.2 yards per game.

–  Dresser Winn ranks first in the conference in total offense with 286.2 yards per game.

–  UT Martin ranks second in the OVC in rush defense allowing 136.8 yards per game.

–  Kevin Prather Jr leads the way for the Martin defense with 44 total tackles.
