BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Eastern Kentucky University men’s basketball player Jomaru Brown has been voted the Ohio Valley Conference Co-Freshman of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Brown poured in a career-high 21 points in EKU’s 100-81 victory over Kennesaw State last Monday in the U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam.
He added four rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in the win.
Brown – a 6-2 guard out of Raleigh, North Carolina – currently ranks third on the team in scoring at 8.5 points-per-game.
He shared this week’s honor with Tennessee Tech freshman Hunter Vick.
Brown and the Colonels return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Knoxville to take on No. 6 Tennessee.
