RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University dance team will partner with the Beautiful Lives Project to give individuals who are disabled the opportunity to perform with the team at the EKU basketball game against Tennessee State University on Feb. 9.

The team has choreographed a dance to include the participants.  The six participants, ranging from ages eight to 32, will attend practice with the team on Feb. 4 and Feb. 8.

The Beautiful Lives Project gives individuals who are disabled the opportunity to participate in a variety of inclusive events across the country.  These include programs with dance teams, cheerleading teams, programs with sports teams, and ballet.  The Beautiful Lives Project strives to give everyone the opportunity to experience whatever type of program is of interest to them, and to eliminate all barriers from this.
